I have a Xerun 120 and 17.5T in my 1:12th stock (we use 4 cell nimh)

If I use it in fwd/rev mode I frequently get a huge glitch right at the apex of a hairpin which really throws the flow of the race - I prefer running about 35-40° drag brake. Can this glitch be negated by upsizing the power caps?

In fwd/brk/rev mode it's smooth as butter but hitting rev twice to reverse is a punishment even if it's just one incident in a whole race - it wouldn't be a problem with a lot of marshalls but is when there's only one, then to cap it off the delay to fwd again seems to take ages

I won't use fwd/brk due to lack of marshalls in our small club

One more thing would be great, ideally it would be preferable to be able to use the program box without having to yank the lead from the receiver

Michael is in the process of implementing more modes for the 2 in 1 programmer but with the new fuction that is available on the usb link but not the 2 in 1 which is import export so you will be able to download all your software to the 2 in 1 programmer and not having to have your pc a the track to upload mod.stock or zero etc to the esc .
Has this feature been implemented yet? If so which firmware?

OK I searched a while back and been reading a lot of pages and can't seem to find my answer.I don'tknow how to tell if my Turbo kicks in. All I know is I need the latest software and the right gearing. The track I run at is asphalt, I run foams 37shore rear and 35shore front, 10.5 motor xerun. The straight is about 200ft or less turns are tight. My FDR is 6.8 on a tc5, I don't have my settings with me with, will add later. ?'s what settings for esc should I use for this track?
Here is a pic

Also I can't update the 2 in 1 box. Here is a pic

Maybe its because you are using Hobbywing USB Link V1.62.

Try to get the latest program from here:
http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=218

Then first update your LCD program box by itself, then update your ESC. Remember to update the ESC program at least 2 times in a row. I prefer three times for less chances of error.

You will be alright with the 119 software, I ran these settings with a 10.5t:
7.5fdr
40 boost, 4k start rpm, 300acc, 24 turbo, 24 turbo ramp, delay off.
With a dualsky 10.5t.

It looks like you're trying to upgrade to an older firmware and it's not letting you.

You need to work with rollout instead of fdr when you are running foam tires.

I just digout my old 120A v2.0 black HW, and going to do Novak 5.5R with it for large asphalt track. I did some search in this thread, back in Nov suggestions were 930 stock or 930 mod firmware. Is it still the same now 3mons later?

This 500+ pages thread is really hard to read through...

Default 2012 TITC

Just come back from TITC.

Thanks to all hobbywing drivers. Our V3's first big race was nice. In the hot condition and high speed track, still smooth and powerful.

Let's wait for the launch soon.

Default INNOVATION OF V3 SOFTWARE

I'd like to show all hobbywing fans a little innovation feature of V3 software.
Angelo, my brother, forgive me.

Here is one of the unique technology V3's software providing.

"BOOST SLOPE", This setting controls how the boost timing is applied within the RPM range. There are two options for this setting.
Option 1: “Linear” – This applies the boost in a linear manner within the RPM Range. The ESC calculates the rate of addition of boost.

Option 2: “Custom” – This allows for a non-linear addition of Boost timing within the RPM range. The boost can be applied in multiple increasing steps throughout the range.

See the 2nd picture, it shows the customized boost timing curve.(it's only a demo, final version may have small changes.)
