if your using the new dualsky motor now that's one of the best motors i have ever seen with that motor they have thought of everything .75 deg is pretty normal.

Want to give me a setup? I couldn't get that motor to go quick.

If you put more of your setup, fdr etc... we can guide you better
It was more helping him than anything, they come standard with 17deg. timing.

I have some news 1st week of october there will be some samples of the V3 not prototypes so we are closer to a release.

The V3 was tested by micheal at the hobbywing cup in shanghai last weekend with excellent results .Mr si zheng also known as sultan who is Hobbywings test driver will be running some tests next week .

So guys you have been patient all these months and thank you for that but we need to bring you a perfect product so nearly there .

It has been decided by the team of 4 Myself, michael,Pan and Jack that the
v3 will not be available from Hong kong especially for the 1st year of sales .

I'm trying to work on approval for Justock in VTA. They will not accept that the Justock is no timing and no boost. I will be sending one of the two I just ordered for series approval once I receive them. RobK is on the boards here and the current keeper of the USVTA rules. Maybe you could PM him and help him with the particulars of getting this approved for this spec racing series.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!

I ran a 120 amp V2.1 with a D3 all practice at 5.1 and then dropped down to 4.9 with the revtech and 211. I could not keep up with the car set up and struggled with tyre prep and my times suffered. I did a 21.9 in practice which was around 0.6 off the event pace but my car was just as quick all weekend. Interestingly i ran 60 boost 0 turbo all weekend and only suffered in the 2nd last qualifier when i bumped up the motor timing past 1 notch looking for more speed and the car felt like it went into sensor less mode.

Default Major Problems

Picked up a new 1S Xerun and having problems ..

I got it out of the box, wired it up correctly, calibrated it and gave it a bench test, all seemed to be well.

I then upgraded to 508_zero, calibrated it, and the motor runs in reverse. I tried reversing the channel on the radio but that does not help, that only makes the forward position the throttle. I then took a look at the software and there is a Motor Direction box specifies CCW (Counter-Clockwise is the wrong direction), however the box is disabled and you are not able to change the setting. What's the deal?

As the fustration was growing, I decided to try and upgrade to another software version, 211_Stock, I did this and calibrated it, and all seemed good again. This software version does not have a Motor Direction box but at least the motor turns in the right direction.

Also, this has probably been mentioned but what gives with needing a 2s lipo to configure the speedo? If you set the Lipo Cutoff to anything but disabled, then you can't even get the speedo to work with a 1S, it just sounds the alert that the voltage is too low. I don't run my packs that low, so I am not overlly worried about it, but it is an advertised feature of the speedo and it does not work.

So .. I need to run blinky, was planning on using it at IIC in Vegas which is a week away. What is the solution? Currently 508 is the only approved software for blinky. I have heard another 508_zero revision is in the works, but does it address the issue I am having, and not just the sensor sensitivity issue? And will it be out before IIC?

UPDATE

I just tried loading SP 508_no_timing software .. and it works. The motor goes in the right direction. I did not change anything else other than software. The Motor Direction box specifies CCW just like the HW software, but it goes in the right direction (oposite of the HW software), again you are unable to change this setting as it is disabled in both software packages. Of course you also have to disable the Lipo cutoff feature as it does not work with 1s lipo packs as the speedo thinks even a fully charged 1s pack is too low a voltage to do anything other than beep at you.

As I see it, there are 2 bugs in the 508_zero software, Motor Direction and Lipo Cutoff for 1S applications. I hope these will be addressed in the next version of 508 in addition to the sensitivity issue improvement.

Timeframe?
