I did not find any difference on the track to be honest, well at least I can say I'm not good enough to know.
Biggest difference between the two is heat, 211 basically run cooler but you FDR has to be higher in order to get the best out of things eg. 119 was 5.5 when using 211 use 6.2.

I recently won a regional series here in the UK and found the 211 software to run much cooler than 119. Ask anyone that saw my car nothing was faster in a straight line or punch out of the corners. The HW speedo made an average(At Best) driver looks superb!

Thumbs up

I just wanted to come on here and say a big thank you to Hobby Wing! Using your ESC this year I won my first championship here in the UK (STCC TC4 Class). Nothing could touch the HobbyWing ESC for speed and punch all year with the ESC winning all but 1 of the rounds

Keep up the excellent work and I'm looking forward to running the V3 as soon as I can.

Don't forget you can check out all of my set up on my website:-

Thanks again!!

Thx
Try this ... http://www.rctech.net/forum/9252990-post5291.html

Don't forget to temp it after a couple of minutes. If it's coming off cold try adding a little end bell timing.

However lately I've had problems where part way through a race the speedy drops into what feels like non boosted mode. Often but not always turning the switch off and on again solves problem. In some cases no amount of on/off switching will fix it. I tried changing the sensor wire but it made no difference so I swapped to a D3 motor and the problem went away. Today I bolted in a brand new Novak and it worked for a run or two before the problem returned again. The speedy had a constant frequency flashing green light when the car is in neutral.. Any idea what this means?

One of the guys at the track suggested running less end bell timing which seemed to help (I ran 25 deg instead of the default 30 deg on the novak). Although I'm not sure if it was the timing or the reduced tension on the end bell screws which helped more, but the problem didn't return for the rest of the day

Has anyone else experienced this problem before?
I have the same problem with a Bullistrorm 4.5T motor.Running less end bell timing (-1) helps a lot but the problem returns again after 4-4.30 mins.I excluded the sensor cable and the sensor board as i tried both with another motor and they're working OK.Next step is to reduce my boost and turbo settings by 3 units each as well the lipo cutoff from 3.2v to 3v/cell and finally if all these don't fix the problem i'll try a different shimming on the rotor.I cannot think something else and i want to turn back the end bell timing to 0 because on -1 i noticed a significant drop in performance otherwise i have to buy another motor.

Default settings for 10.5

hi, just wanted to find better settings for my 10.5 motor, at the moment i used stock 211:

drag - 10%
ddrs - 7
boost timing - 50
turbo open - 18/0.1
turbo timing - 14
boost - 4000
turbo delay- 0.2
boost timing - 500 rpm/deg

fdr - 7.9

I could feel that car had a "kick" too late, i mean it was on the half of the straight, i need to change something to get a "kick" faster... Mayby boost on 1000 or 2000? change fdr on 8.3? Or mayby more punch like 9?
Chacked the temp of the motor was about 44 C.

Turn your turbo delay off and reduce the boost timing to 350. You have got the rev start setting very low. I would lower it 6000. Watch the motor heat.

However I did blow 6 other motors in testing throughout the year trying to get them to go as fast as a Corally. It just isn't going to happen though.
