Blinking no timing software with 7.5 - 5.5T, good or bad idea?

Thanks,
Michael.

I was considering getting the xerun 60a - I already have a xerun 120. I am just a bit strapped for cash, and wanted to know if the xerun 60a can run 211 safely with motors up to 10.5 at a similar performance level to my 120a version
you can run the xerun 60amp down to a 5.5T with no turbo software and 8.5T and up with turbo .pan car you need a booster .yes it can run 211 safely with 8.5T and above like 10.5T 13.5T etc

No problem to run 508 no timing with the 7.5 -5.5T depending what esc your running you can also run 119 mod for those motors .But if your running justock esc if it will burn within seconds as its a 45 amp rated esc

use 8.5t motor with 119 mod software, the speed is there, but have a 5.5t here and want to see how it feels and how the temp is compared to a "slower" and boosted motor.

using a 120a today but there is so little space in my car (ta06) and the xtremestock fits perfectly!
You cannot run mod or stock turbo firmware with the xtremestock running a 5.5T the esc will burn .Better to run the esc with no turbo but can use normal timing.you can run older mod software that has no turbo function.

More gearing and less turbo/boost will produce less heat. But if you go to far, and are over geared, then you will also create alot of heat,

But, if you want to be fast, then you are better off using more turbo/boost, and gear the car correctly from there. When you use boost, you can really improve the performance of the car in the infield, while keeping your temps down. Because the motor doesnt have alot of timing in it, you can turn a pretty big gear making the car faster (read, lots of torque) coming out of the corners. Then bring in your boost to advance the timing to give you the middle throttle, and use the turbo only on the straight aways.

FW 211 doesnt allow turbo to kick in before the boost is all in, so the ESC prevents you from over timing the motor on the infield, helping to keep the temps down for the heavy throttle type.

Cheers,
Shawn.

thanks for the reply!, right now i geared my 8.5t at 5.3

119 (i think) mod software, full turbo and boost are at 12 (16max)

driving at a LARGE track, i`m as fast as the other mod drivers in the infield, but is lacking a little on the straight compared to the 4.5t motors..

was thinking of gear down to 5.7-6.0 and go all in on the boost, motor temp now is around 80c after 6min

or can i gear down a little more and go nuts with the 211 software?

Hello Guys

please be aware of this ebay seller .The hobbywing ezruns on this ebay store are 100% counterfeits .

http://stores.ebay.com/Demon99/RC-Mo...4.l1513&_pgn=2

as you will see the on the site we do not supply the ezrun 60 amp with 7.5T motors etc .

I seen on the history 11 sold on one of the listings and whoever bought them guess what they now have a counterfeit product not good .If anyone has bought from this ebay seller please email me at [email protected] so i can write you a report once you send me your pictures of the goods so you can get your money back from paypal

regards Angelo

How does one know if you have version 213 installed on your ESC?
I have the latest version installed on my PC and program box.

Here is what I see..... no mention of 213.
Or am I missing something?

Thx

What does this do differently to the 211 software? Should we just use our 211 setting on 213?

213 is not in the latest v1.63 usb link software package. 211 is the latest in that package.
213 is again, like 101224 only released here on the internet, and then also only by replacing some files in the v1.63 folder on your pc. (Do you remember Angelo? )

I believe the only difference between 211 and 213, is when the turbo is released.
211 releases his turbo after all set boost timing is reached.
213 releases his turbo after the turbo delay, so actually like 119 does it.....

anyone knowing it better, please correct me if I am wrong.
