Where does one send one of these in for service? We have a hobbywing Xtreme stock, another car crashed into the back of the 2wd buggy and smashed the b and c poles together or the motor and quickly stopped the buggy, smell of burning electronics ensued. Thing links up to the USB fine and callibrates up with the radio, but no throttle response. Had it sitting in the box for over 6 months, finally hooked it up last week and now kaput. LOL. Prior to the crash, it was a great speed control!

First, as mentioned by Angelo, is the quality of the batteries. I have cheap 20 dollar packs as well as race packs, and the problem only occurs when using the cheap packs. What happens is that the cheap packs show a much bigger drop in voltage under load, triggering the low-voltage threshold. This can occur even if the pack is fully charged, with low wind motors using high boost/turbo. If this is the case, what you can do is simply lower the low-volt threshold on the speedo, to 2.8V/cell or even switching it off. Of course, do keep a watch on run time as the possibility of over-discharging is higher. you will find that this solves the problem.

The second and more common cause is the sensor cable. check to see that the 6 small wires are intact, and the plugs securely attached. A good tip would be to buy the most flexible sensor cable you can find, because these take hits better, and last longer as the wire strands are more resistant to bending.

cheers
Great info Zipp your experience now can help others .thank you for your input.

110211 (and all other FW ever released) you will find in the latest PC software package called V1.63_110310

And maybe you have to scroll up/down in the list of FW's available....

Doing some TLC on my Xray TC, I realized that due to some bad... landings, my Xerun 120A case is broken in a couple of places.
So, is there a way to get just a case for the Xerun 120A V2.0 ESC?
From where? How? any ideas?

TIA

Has there been any further development on the bluetooth adapter as to when/if it will be available?

can someone recommend a good setup for a 13.5t on a LARGE asphalt track? (tamiya ff03)

running 518stock today and 4.05fdr, havent tested so much outside with stock and not sure how to start with the newer firmwares

also cant change the settings with my 2in1 box (turnigy branded) with firmwares newer than 518!

did some testing with the 213 firmware today, tamiya ff03 with duo2 13.5t motor on a large asphalt track

ddrs 7
boost timing 40
turbo slope 18
turbo timing 25
start rpm 4000
turbo delay 0.1s
timing acc 300

(basically the same as blades setup earlier in this thread)

fdr 4.44

the motor barely gets warm with this, and my xtremestock is just fingerwarm (outdoor temrature was around 17c ans quite windy)

the motor just screams down the straight

If the weather holds up i hope to get to the track this weekend to run my Touring cars.
Have a few setup changes to try.
Just to back up what zipp mentioned, the batteries you use is definately a factor if you hitting the low voltage cut off also the quality of the solder joints on the battery plugs and esc posts can contribute to the problem.

On batteries i ran the Pro Amps in my 1/8 buggy on the weekend and also loaned them to a buddy to try. I found a noticeable difference in punch while my buddy got more run time out of his 1/8 buggy.
compared to my other branded batteries the Pro Amps are definately having a edge on performance.
