The latest software is the 119 as most of you are aware of and 211 there is no such 212 release but there is a test version of the 213 but will not be released as yet .

The only difference between the 211 and the 213 is 213'S TURBO is limited by rpm ,but 211 was not . so 211 has more acceleration, but 213 will have a lower temp.

My understanding of this is that
High load(Mod) = larger voltage drop, meaning it cuts off earlier.
Low load(Stock) = Less voltage drop, less difference between load and no load measurement.

So basically, if you set your cut-off voltage the same for stock and mod, and run both cars to the cut off, then measure both batteries, the mod battery will have a higher voltage, because they both hit the cut off voltage under different loads. When the load is gone, you get the true voltage

If this makes sense:
Mod: Cutoff voltage = V Battery(no load) - V drop (bigger V drop=Higher Battery voltage)
Stock: Cutoff Voltage = V Battery(no load) - V drop (smaller V drop=Lower Battery voltage)

So, be careful about cut-off voltage in stock classes according to irgo's findings? (use a higher setting)
I hope I've got that right

every FW upgrade is base on what? i mean, do they make comparison with other ESC? honestly, we cant achieve as lower motor temp and top speed as tekin if we running at longer straight line and semi technical track... under direct sunny day, with the same motor n timing, tekin show not more than 60'c, otherwise HW i would say is about 78-79'c in 5min race... but at short n technical, i found that HW will dominate the track... this is refer to 199 as i still have no chance to test 211...

my understanding of the 2..
tekin runs more rpm....cooler
hobbywing more torque....hotter

so in bigger tracks a tekin is beter
on smaller technical tracks hobbywing is better

have used both
i prefer hobbywing

no need for a laptop at the track to adjust every setting

I ran the 213 yesterday at ardent raceway's kick energy winter championship and found it to be very good. I am a driver who doesn't like alot of initial rip so I ended up running a ddrs of 1 and boost of 20 and turbo of 40. I ran with a data logger in practice and found that I never really dipped under 7000 rpm so I set my boost to start at 9000. This gave me a very smooth acceleration out of corners and I knocked .5 of a second off my quickest time. Never saw temps more than 50 degree's. In all a very good job with new software, very impressed.

I think TEKIN has some current limit in the program which will make the motor cooler, but obviously it will cause the accelaration a little bit slower.

For top speed, I must say at the same FDR and all timing open, TEKIN and Hobbywing should be almost same.

So am I right in thinking that I shouldn't go above 60 combined spread over boost and turbo. If I do will it bog down maybe ?
Also what motor are you running mate. Think we were in the same 17.5 heat at Chippenham this year but then I was running Tekin so new to this speedo setup.

just remember that the total available timing is 64. You can set your timing to 64, your turbo to 40, but because you have selected all your 64 steps with timing boost, you will get ZERO turbo.

I would say most guys would be at 60-64 to get the most out of the speed control. I would dare say there are some in the 50's for total timing, however I would not bother turning up to race

What motor out of interest?
I've been finding similar for lower wind Stock types (8.5/9.5/10.5 etc), less DRRS (1-2) and a higher boost start (around 8-9000), but with a quicker boost ramp (100-300), seems to keep the punch up out the turns, but also keep the motor cool... Worth a try for sure.
