New Xerun 10.5T has been fitted, ready to have some fun tomorrow night, though I did not like the look if it set vertical, I had a SP fitted so had the push on pins, but the wiring looked ugly with the pins at the top, and you could not read the marking on the can either, so a little creative wiring and it looks good now.

How OCD am I to spend half an hour doing that.

Got to say the stock solder on the ESC is hard to budge using a colder iron, I'm assuming it's lead free, had to break out the 40W to remove the original wires, for most work I only use a 18-20W iron.

Im currently using HW 10.5, the problem is a local race in enforcing IFMAR rules for the motor... as i know HW motor is not yet approved... thats why im looking for other motor...

I used to use the Duo2 in 10.5 (Did not race much in that class)

The motor and speedy combo 120a v2.1 was super quick.

I would be trying a Duo3. If the 17.5's are anything to go by, they would be the motor to beat.

There are a lot of good motors though. The Speed Passion V3 would be next on my list. Bulletproof motor... Runs cool and motor plugs are a nice touch.

My SP V3 ran cool right up until I had to run it with zero timing, then I melted it, though to be fair I had zero experience gearing for speed, chances are I also just rode it too hard, I mash the throttle a lot, which I hear is bad...

My experience with the Xerun 10.5T will also limited to zero timing for now, we just don't have any dynamic timing legal classes here anymore, I have no idea how it will go without the boost, but at least the thermal protection will work now.

Right now with motors, I'm reading what works best may purely depend on if your running dynamic timing, the D3 is supposed to be the king of zero, and Redline or SP for boosted.

the very succesful 110211 in TITC will released on the official website soon.
this is the news i got from Michael yesterday.

This version, in my opinion, will have lower motor temp than 110119.

forget to say, it is easier for the off-throttle control which will help you to run a smooth corner.

Did everyone run the same setup as the one you posted a couple of pages before?

Guys,

If i have to race 8.5T (lipo 7.4v) touring class STOCK (no turbo, no timing allowed). Will the XTREME STOCK perform in the same way as XERUN 120amp ? ... or because of the higher "amp" of the 120amp (xtreme stock its 60amp), will be stronger ?

thanks,

Will this version of the Xerun work with the current and future firmwares?
