Well, ran indoor carpet again today. They decided to make the touring class a 17.5 class. And that's fine. Problem was that I haven't retreived my 17.5 motor from my friend yet. So we ran my Novak SS21.5 motor. There was only one car that had faster straightaway speed than me. I won't mention what esc he was running, but he was running a Balistic 17.5 motor. But no worries! We were faster in the corners.
But I was once again worried about the temps. Motor temps were about 115 deg F, & esc was 82 deg F.
And I still have alot of room to go even faster.
Thank you Hobbywing!!!!

Then at a certain point the motor seems to stall a little and when i gently pull the throttle a little more the motor goes from a little lower revs to higher revs like normal. Is that stall the transition from motor timing to esc dynamic timing? The throttle is hardly used so i think it could be the dynamic timing comming in but the weird thing is that at the same point the motor gives just a little less rpm (by sound) and afterwards spooles up again the way it supose to. Now, i haven't tried it at the track yet so i have no idea if that stall is noticed under load but thought it was a little odd. Just to let people know, I am not a newbe with dynamic esc, i have a t...n for a long time .

This is with a xerun 10.5t (new one) and 120A v2.1 with the newest software.

Any thoughts what else it could be?

edit:
my settings are:
1:1
2:1
3:5
4:9
5:3
6:1
7:2
8:1
9:46(45 boost)
10:4 (18 turbo slope)
11:1
12:16 (turbo timing 15)
13:6 (start rpm 6000)
14:4 (0.3 sec)
15:10 (500acc)
Well mine makes a metallic tinkling sound as the timing switches over, however judging by the differences as to when you are laying the start point kinda proves that the start points seem to be working, I refer to an earlier post on this, don't worry it just WORKS when running the car lol

I can't risk the defamation of an already excellent motor manufacturer. It was entirely my fault.

The rotor was a 12.3mm unit. After what happened I switched to 13mm. Hope that helps

Well, this happened on my 2nd lap through the heat. Damn FDR was 7.5 on a 11.5T motor.

Anyway pics of wreckage is so cool to look at

p/s: I did a few unload revving before my heat started. Like I said, it was entirely my fault

Last wednesday, took my cam to the track, just for the fun.

The red/orange car is me, 1st lap I "warmed up" the tires, after about 2 laps my friend waits for me to start the battle...
We both run: HW120a/1S/101224/S120L/LRP X12/13.5T (he swapped from LRP SXX SS because he didn't have enough power )
At some moment there are even 3 HW120a/1S in the picture.
