It took me awhile to figure out this 'administrator' thingy!!! you sp bhoys are just confusing me ...

btw I read somewhere that the new firmware, 110119STOCK is only for HW escs, and not SPs ... ... best to go out and get an Xtreme Stock then ...

No ... you are not wrong, the magnets are definitely stronger but I am still messing with setups and now that the motor needs to be sent back to the manufacturer, I am back to square one again with the GM97303 or my trusted old ballsitic for awhile.

I had the old GM120 which I have already sold off as I do not wish to bring a laptop to the track and the setup is very confusing as I do not understand all the various options (one of those where when translated from German to English, something in between just gets lost). It was very fast. I have yet to beat my old 17.5T time that I set last summer. And I have been using a 13.5T motor since ... on the same outdoor track, ableit with a different esc, which I must say I am very with. Maybe it has been wet and cold and so I have not been getting the same amount of traction as when I set my best 17.5T time ... ... Must admit that the GM is very smooth ... but expensive as well.

RE the new software
In the instructions it suggests using a turbo slope 0f 9/0.1s (same as 224) though on the box this not available the degree options are 3,6,12,18 (default), 24 or fastest,

what is recommended for a 13.5T?

I was about to upgrade my Xerun 60A V2.0 and I noticed that too!
(On 1/5 motorcycle running Nosram X11 17.5T)
I set it at 6 for now... and let's see what gives,,,

Re new software,
just checked the new 110119 and on my lcd programmer item 15 boost timing acceleration mine only goes to 50- 350 not the 750 as per instructions.
Which is correct ?

njt, my 110119 firmware lets me select up to 750 on setting 15.
I'd suggest you reflash the firmware.

Virtually none ie. < 0.3mm!!

Could it be the receiver ariel 2.4Ghz that I run up a short ariel tube out the top and back down the outside held in place with the cap??

Or a software bg. It hasn't affected my other 17.5 car with another HW esc.

Yes, I think you are correct.
During some tests we did, the only good way to improve the speed for these kinds of motors is lower the FDR. Because these motors' RPM can't be increased as expected when boost timing apply on it and it creates torque more than enough with that RPM.

I think 101224 is better for these kinds of motors.

Barry, sorry we also found this mistake. It should be 18/0.1s on the instruction. Will update it soon.

And as we know, motors have totally different performance , so the suggestion on the instruction can only give a wide range for test on your own environment. please always start with a safe FDR and safe timing setting and measure your motor's temp after a pack.
