Most Oem products we do are by customer requirements they want quality they need to pay for it they want cheap thats what they will get and usually all our oem brands source there own motors they are not from hobbywing .

just some info for you guys to understand.

If a brand is telling you they are hobbywing oem esc's or motors please send me a photo and ill let you know as most who want cheap and narsty head over to other manufacturers in Asia and claim the product is hobbywing as thats were they first started there oem brand but trust me they are not hobbywing at all just use the reference hobbywing based which is untrue .
My apologies if it sounded like i was having a go at Hobbywing ... the origin of the Bullistorm motor was purely based on "some bloke told me" .. not based in fact. I am a big supporter of the Hobbywing ESC's, as bang per buck they have no competitor's in my opinion. Keep up the great work.

Anyone acknowledging the issue with the new software not being able to use your laptop or computer to setup and save your esc setting?

Thanks

Tom

Works for me.

What I did have a problem with was calibrating the speedo to my TX when loaded with 1224. I had to reload 518 to do it.

Hope yall can help, can't find anyone in offroad section discussing.hobbywing 1/10. just bought a new 120a (v2.1 i think) and 6.5 motor, lcd programmer. instructions say default timing is 15 deg. is this dynamic timing? Seems like a lot if it's static timing. Also, one part of instructions says timing advance only works with sensorless, while another says it works for sensored and sensorless. which is it? Been raining.so no track time yet, but ran it hard in parking lot for 7 minutes yesterday. motor temp was 155, speedo was cool, ran like a scalded dog.

Doesn`t work for you, 1224 and 110108 cant be programmed with the pc, only the 2 in 1...the 518 can be done with pc.

The default settings are a good starting point (maybe change settings like brake, lipo cut-off, etc. to your likings), and you will have the same performance with the default 1224 setting as with the 518 fully open!

Dont Apologise there are alot of people out there that are misinformed you wont be the first or the last .

Ill give you an example i had an American send me an email telling me that in the usa alot of racers think Hobbywing is just a knock off of American esc's which he is very misinformed if only he knew the truth that hobbywing is a innovator and not a ponzi who copies products .

All is good just race and be happy thats all .

I am able to adjust and save using both the PC and 2 in 1. 1244STOCK fw.

I connect my esc to my PC through the 2 in 1 and that is where I adjust and save through the PC. Out at the track, I only plug the esc into the 2 in 1 and adjust and save from there. That is why I sold off my GM and got the Hobbywing. I do not wish to bring out a laptop just to adjust some settings.

Is there a way to connect the esc direct to the PC without the 2 in 1???

Are you sure?

It seems to be saving the settings yes, but if you check them again, everything went back to the default setting.....

Additional instruction 1224STOCK firmware.pdf

"1. Once the new firmware has been loaded into the ESC, you can only use the LCD Program Box or PC
software to set the programmable parameters, neither the LED Program Card nor the SET button is
available for programming the ESC with this new firmware."

ran the new software last weekend... its fast.

btw, used the recommended settings for 13.5T (6.5FDR, temp at 120-130degF after 5mins)... i'm sure it will only get faster with some tweaking

good job HW!
