I have 518, so is the 10224 a newer firmware?
Is it smoother?
It's not only smoother, it's noticable faster!
Tried the 101224STOCK Yesterday, and am very happy with it!
Car: Serpent S120L
Motor: LRP X12 13.5T, **** timing insert.
Because our track has a speedtrap, I know I run around 17000 RPM (60kmh/59mm roll out)
Started with Boost (#9) on 30 degree, no turbo (#12), Boost start RPM (#13) 5000, Boost Timing Acc (#15) on 350.
(Boost start RPM+Timing Acc*Boost = 5000+(30*350)=15500 RPM where max timing is reached.)
This meant that the total timing was around the same as the 518 Firmware, but the amount of punch!... Hiiii Haaaaa!!!!!!.....
Motor and ESC stayed cool, which meant an effective system, which performed very constant during 14 Minutes I could drive on a IP 5600mAh 1S Lipo!
I finished the day with:
#9 (Boost) on 35 Degree,
#10 (Turbo slope rate) on 1.5/0.1s (slowest)
#12 (Turbo) on 6Degree,
#14 (Turbo delay) on 0.4s
#15 (Boost Timing Acc.) on 350
Setting Boost Timing Acc. to 250, didn't really gain acceleration, but did give more heat, and drained the Lipo earlier, so topspeed went down to much after a few minutes....
Take a look at mylaps, where you can analyse my runs:
This gave me a top speed of 62.6 Kmh and took .2 Seconds of my laptimes!.... 10.1 seconds I drove....
But, during the evening and some beers later, somehow I always seem to drive relaxed, but slower!...
A friend of mine who drives with the same car/motor, but with a LRP SXX Stockspec, normally had around the same topspeed as I had, but had more punch, now couldn't keep up with me at the track anymore. I drove away from him after every corner and past him on the straight, but the best thing to see was that at the 6 minutes mark, the difference was getting bigger, in my advantage!
I'm really looking forward to next clubmeeting, because I really believe I've closed the gap to the nr.1 Driver of the club, so will try (and must be able now) to make his life a bit harder.
