Default eagletree elogger v3 minimum voltage?

i read on the eagletree website that the elogger needs 4.5v minimum either through main leads or a backup battery lead, but what is the minimum voltage it will read when powered throw the backup battery? will it read down to zero volts?

also what batteries have you used for backup battery? the site said 4.8-6.0v but i was hoping to use a 6.6v life battery which supposedly can be as much as 7.2v at full charge.

incase anyone cares, this is the response i got from eagletree:

The eLogger V3 will record down to 4.35V when being powered by a battery backup.

When used with the eLogger, the CAB-BAT-BACK can supply additional power from a battery ranging between 4.5V to 6.5V. Anything above 6.5V has the potential of damaging the eLogger, so we would recommend against using anything that is above 6.5V.
