An independent test shows that Fantom Racing batteries are the best currently available on the market. Here is the link:

This is just a test off a charger. There is another test done with vehicles and actual drivers who put the thunderpower ahead of the rest. Charger testing and actual vehicle usage test are two different things.

Cool to look at the data, but that is hardly a conclusive test. Most notably, you need multiple batteries of each model to at least try to get a representative sample. It wouldn't surprise me at all if most of the difference between those cells comes down to std. variance between batteries of any given model. Also, there's quite a bit of apples to oranges going on there. In the second graph, we see that an Orion 4600mAh battery lasts longer than a Zippy 4000mAh battery. Umm...really? A more interesting comparison would be between a $120 4600mAh Orion battery and the $35 (or whatever it is) 5000mAh 30C Zippy's that are so popular now.

Anyway, not trying to slam the dude...very cool tha the took the time to look at this...just saying that it would be premature at besst to just run out and buy a bunch of fantom batteries as the result of reading that article is all.

better choice for the SMC would be the 5200 50c at the same price as the TP 5000 40c ones. They used the old 4000 28c packs in test.

Default Best(cheapest) place to buy li-po

Hey out there, I'm wondering if there is a good site to buy cheap decent li-pos. There's a lot of junk out there so I thought I would ask the pros. I tried hobby city but they are sold out of every size I need. Any help would be awesome.
