i know that a in novak stuff a 8.5 which is 500kv is equiv.to a 10-12 turn brushed motor and the higher the kv the more power like the mamba 7700 is like a 4 or 5 turn brushed so a 3300 is like a 19 turn i believe but dont quote me on that

This is what Novak says -

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...spec_chart.htm

3300 is 13.5 equiv if it were a Novak motor. May be a little diff for a diff company's motors, but should be in the ballpark.

Hey

I believe its a 10.5 turn motor. I have a 3300kv motor in my 4x4 and the manual said the 3300kv motor is equal to a 10.5 turn

The truth is, they all vary. It depends on manufacturer, bonded or sintered rotors (almost all are sintered now), stuff like that.
I have a Tekin 632 (3200kV) and it tears the arse off the 13.5 Novak I have, but that is due to torque, not revs (which kV relates to).
3300kV is closer to 13.5 in most situations, apples for apples.

Another big diff in motor kv ratings - some test motor kv unloaded and some test with the motors loaded and not all of them will tell you which method you're looking at.

Obviously, unloaded kv will be higher kv determined under a load.

All published Kv ratings for Novak motors are unloaded.

Why would you raise an irrelevant 7-year-old thread to ask that?

The question can't really be answered accurately anyway, as many many more things other than just the KV affects what motor is better than another. But if it were same make & model lineup, then the 3300kv would be ever so slightly faster due to more RPM. Although the 3000kv might have a tiny bit more torque.
