Default futaba

I ran the futaba fasst for a few yrs. I liked the radio alot. I live on the coast where hot summer day might be in the 80's and never once had a problem but every single time I would go inland to race where the temp was 90 deg. plus my rx would fail. I tried several ideas to keep the rx cool with the same result(failure). Nothing more frustrating then traveling 2 1/2- 4 hrs, make the main and have your rx fail within the 1st 15 min. After addressing the issue with futaba and having them talk to me like I was A dumb a$$ I decided no more. GOOD BYE FUTABA !!!

I had a 3pk a while back and as most of you know England isnt known for its brilliant weather at the best of times.

But sure enough the Fasst system thermalled on me several times and i hadnt really heard of this heat issue i thought it was dodgy batteries and servos, once i found out though i sent futaba a email and a voicemail no reply in 3 months thats when i ditched futaba and went Sanwa/Airtronics too many things in this hobby can cause a headache so the more i can remove the better

I will NEVER buy another Futaba product again since owning the 4PK and dealing with their sh*tty customer service.

I sold every piece of Futaba I own and will never support them again! Why would I...they don't support us or even their own products!

Not sure if the service has declined over the last 12 months at Futaba, but I got a 4PK and 3 receivers from Tower in the fall of 2008 that all had the problems which was with the first 4PK batch. Futaba took it back, checked it and sent me new items fast and with no hassle.

BTW, my 3 Futaba PJ sets from 1996-1998, used in outrigger model speed boats, works without a glitch after all these years. The 3PK I had also worked for hundreds of hours without an issue.

So no issues with Futaba from my side

The only thing insane is Futaba's customer service! They're horrible! It's stupid to treat people like they do...especially knowing that there are many competitor products that we can choose from. They are destroying loyalty! It's comical to see how many people have been treated so bad by Futaba. 1 year of bad customer service will take 10+ years to regain the lost loyalty.

Default I don't feel so crazy now....

I thought I was doing something wrong in dealing with them, if your going to charge me for repairs, shipping and handling, then at least fix it or send me a new one.....

Futaba just don't care about the little man who supports there products, they just care about the money and how much more they can make, by hoping once it damage you will buy new stuff and not going the extra mile to keep returning customers.

wow, I'm fortunate enough to have no issues so far with my pair of bls491 and my 4pk since last summer. Why would they treat their customers so poorly? makes no sense.
