Default adding a 2.4ghz transmitter antenna to receiver

hey i have an extra 2.4ghz transmitter antenna, and an adapter where i can solder a wire to it. will it work if i solder the end of the reciever wire of ym fhss-2 reciever. i wont shorten the original antenna size, and will it increase my range?

No,

the length of the anntena has to do with the wavelength of the radio signal. The antenna length is tuned relative to the radio wavelength to get a good signal.
