I ordered the Hyperion 720i net 3 charger. I know I said I was getting the Icharger, but they seem to be having problems, bad soldering, quality control, etc from what I read on the rcgroups forum.

The Hyperion is a fine charger but to be honest you can read about overheating issues with the Hyperion over at rcgroups. Either brand is fine.

I just bought two of the turnigy accucel - 8's. Work like a charm. I highly recommend them. They are cheap too. Even with the high shipping costs from hobbycity, two of them would come in WAY under your budget.

The Hyperions aren't perfect - I've had 2 0610iNet chargers (use 2) - one showed up DOA in the box and I had to send it back. I never plugged it in - it was not completely assembled - one of the end caps was off and there was a handful of parts and elect connectors loose in the box. My otehr 2 have been fine though.

I guess every mfg has some kind of issues.

Duster, is your name referring to Plymouth Duster with 360ci?

Scond one to ever ask - yes it is. I couldn't afford the 340 when I got out of college in 71 so had to settle for a 6cyl Duster. I put 282,000miles on it before I stopped driving it. Its slowly being converted to a 360V8, with V8 trans and rear end with disc brakes. I have all the V8 drive train, just need to start pulling it apart - has to have a new wiring harness and thats prob the biggest chore ahead. Rest won't be that much - just the work to get it done.

The Hyperions a fine charger, you'll enjoy using it.

Hmmm...ongoing project. Those were the days. Good luck with it and hope you get it running soon.
