Default Futaba 2pl steering sometimes controls motor??

Hi,

I'm running a Tamiya 1/10 electric buggy with a Futaba 2pl 29mhz radio system. Everything has worked great for a month or so, even though the servo really twitches a lot even after adjusting the trim. Recently however sometimes when I turn on the buggy and then the transmitter the motor races. Using the steering control the steering servo will turn in one direction but when I turn in the opposite direction the servo doesn't turn and the motor races. I have replaced the crystals and it still does this. There's something really wonky going on here. The gear and car are all a month old.

Would anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks

It sounds to me like there is something else in your area that has a similar or exact frequency as your radio and is causing interference with the signal transmission. I would take your car somewhere a little more remote and try the same thing and see if it happens. If it works just find I would chalk it up as interference in your area, if it continues to happen in the remote area then something is wrong with the radio or receiver.
