Default Lipo Battery Charing for the first time !! Need Help

So i just picked up a smc 5000 2c 7.4v battery and a Triton lipo charger , what scroll to lipo menu, it only allow me to set the battery capacity which i select 5000 and charing rate ( 3.7 , 7.4, 11.1 etc ) it does not ask me enter number of cell etc...

my question is what charging rate should i select if i want to safely charge my 5000 2c pack ? should i use 3.7v or 7.4v?

and my charger comes with balancing port, do i need to balance my pack every time i charge ? can i charge and balance at the same time ?
thanks for all your help !

the 3.7, 7.4, 11.1 are the pack voltages, 3.7 = 1 cell, 7.4 = 2 cell, 11.1 = 3 cell. since you have a 2 cell use 7.4. If you select the wrong voltage, most chargers will not charge the pack, but give an error.

Prob best for your lipo to balance charge every time, certainly won't hurt anything. That way the 2 cells start a run (discharge) at very close to the same voltage.

Is there anything bigger than 5000s? I'm sure they'll come up with a firmware update if/when needed.

No, you can charge any capacity - you will only be able to charge at 5amps since its the chargers max charge rate. If you have an 8000mah 2S lipo, you can charge it at 5amps, it will just take a little longer to charge fully. The charger asks for the lipo capacity to calculate a 1C charge rate, if thats larger than teh charger can charge at, it will just use the max charge rate of 5amps.
