Default Charger Under $100

Hi, just need a recommendation on a charger for under $100 AUD. It needs to charge my RX Nimh packs for my truggy and also the Li-Po's for my Transmitter. the Li-Po's are 11.1v and the RX Nimh pack is 6v. Whats a good all in one charger? I know the Swallow ACDC 2 is good but thats a bit out of my price range, something that can charge both nimh and li-po's, dont need to discharge. Thanks

You can use the same one that I use you should be able to pick it up for a little bit less that $100AUD. It is the Duratrax Onyx 230. Has ac/dc power so no need for a power supply and it charges up to 6s lip as well as life packs, nicd, and nimh.

I use 3S lipos to run my 2 txs and they do show some cell imbalance and when I charge them, I balance them as well. I think you should get a balancing charger so you get it all done at once - cells charged and balanced so it maintains you lipos at optimum conditions.

This 50watt charger would charge both lipo and NiMh (other chemistries as well) and balance your lipos. It will need a power supply - something around 7amps will let you run the charger at 5amps.

They show some power supplies that you can use to run this charger farther down on this page. They also so some balance connection adapters if you lipos use something other than the JST-XH (also called the Align type conenction) balance connection. You may need these as well.

I have one of these and use it routinely to charge 2S lipo and a NiMh pacs occassionally. Its a solid, full featured charger. Hard to beat for the price.

Thanks for the help, am strongly leaning towards this option now. I was going to avoid one that needed a power supply but it doesn't seem that complicated so i might see how much i can get that setup shipped to Australia for

This is a great charger, I have this one and its big brother. They both are amazing for the price. Please dont spend the money on the Venom, as it is the same charger, only much more expensive.

You could also consider an Imax B6 for about $40 USD, then the power supply (12v 5a) for about $15.
