Default Novak GTX power cap

Hey guys, looking for a little power cap advice for my Novak GTX. I'm using the stock, rather large, cap assembly that comes with it, but have found it presents a packaging problem with my Tamiya M-05. The cap is a little hard to find a location for, given it's size.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has any experience or opinions on installing a slightly smaller power cap on this speed controller.

I'm running a Johnson/Mabuchi 540 (sealed silver can) and the car is used for 5 minute heats, indoors, on carpet.

Novak does offer a smaller cap that would probably suit my needs, just need to know if anyone has tried anything like this and what the results were.

Thanks!

(I've already had one opinion provided for this question (Steve, if you're reading this, no offense intended. Just need a little perspective))

Jim

This is what I use,

https://www.shopatron.com/product/pa....56.7400.0.0.0

And for $2 they are a steal! I bought 2 of them and work fine.

Isn't that the same size as the one I'm looking to get rid of?
