Default M8 woes

Just curious, but up to how far should this radio with a 92836 receiver be operational? I am getting glitches at less than 100ft :-\ The steering servo acts up and such.

I can go till I can barely see my car anymore. I am using a novak switch and XXTra receiver. With that being said, I also have a jr RS310, airtronics 92926z, and novak XXL receivers. All have a different amount of range with the xxtra going the furthest, but all well over 100ft.

I should admit that I cut about 4 inches off. Would that really have a huge impact?

Yes, but 100ft is really not that far. The only receiver I have had do less than that, I just replaced. I tried putting a new antenna on it, crystals, what ever I could think of. I still have it and I'm keeping it for if I ever get a crawler.

Do you have another receiver to try?

The the receiver apart and see if there is any dirt or sand inside... particles inside the case tends to cause problems....
