I have a new 2.4G radio and I have tried arming my Castle MMM for days now... no success.
The radio is a simple 3 channel OEM 2.4G modell (sold as Arkai N-4Q, Graupner XG-6i Race-Spec 2.4GHz, and other brands, not sure if availabel in the US)
the receiver connects with the sender just fine. steering works well. I just cant get the arming sequence going on the MMM. When I change throttle setup on the radio or reverse the throttle (tried all possible combinations) I get all possible combinations of red, yellow, green lights on the MMM, lots of funny beeping, but no arming.
I also changed the arming time with Castle Link to 5sec. with no visible effect.
Last thing I tried was to connect the optional receiver battery (so no power via ESC), make sure the receiver is fully linked into the radio, and only then plug the ESC into the receiver whilst having the radio at full throttle. still no arming.
Can anyone help? maybe there is a way to READ the "light codes" on the MMM (V1) to identify whats wrong?
This will seem like a dumb question, but seems to be a commonly overlooked item. Are your endpoints for the throttle set to maxium? I would also try re-calibrating the radio with the throttle trim centered and see what happens.

Thanks K_B,
Endpoints: that feature I believe is called EPA on my radio. I had actually changed it from 100% to 120% for brake and reverse, which is the maximum. That did not help unfortunately.
Re-calibrating the radio with the throttle trim centered: I am not fully sure what you mean by this. can you explain? I have attempted the arming process with the throttle trim in so many different positions, including centered, til I kind of got tired of it
I can tell you that you're right on about the EPAs and centering the throttle trim. If your EPAs are maxxed out and the trim is centered when you calibrate AND you've increased the arming time, than I am stumped (doesn't take much).
The only thing I can think of is that your radio takes an unusually long time to connect to the receiver. My Spektrum module has this problem; takes almost a minute for the little green light to come that tells me that it has connected to the receiver.

The control lights comes really quickly and also the steering works right away. So I don't think it is a problem of taking too long to connect. To make sure, I first connected via additional power supply and only then connected the ESC. it all did not help.
also the LED codes did not really help. altough they confirmed that the esc actually recognizes forward/rew/neutral etc. so the basic signals DO work on the radio. just no proper arming.
I'll take the radio back to the shop this week and see if I can trade it for a different model!
Are you sur it was finding neutral? You could try increasing the neutral width to maximum and then calibrate. Juat a thought.
Well, the the first thing it would need to find is "full reverse" when it starts up, after that ask for full throttle, after that neutral. It never even accepted full reverse...
