Just my .02 but I like the Futaba 3pk and the DX3R. I like the DX3R the most so thats what I have. I'm really surprised that for a 4AA radio the $pk is actually quite heavy. The only other radio I'd consider that's not a DX3R is the KO EX1.

As far as sport radios go I do like the MX-3SS although that new KO looks good.

Find a shop that sells both and ask to hold them. Go with the one that you like the way it feels best.

I went to my LHS to get a spectrum radio, but walked out with a futaba 3pm. I love it. It fits me better. It has all the goodies I would ever need.

If you are looking for a micro receiver, Futaba faast does have one. The fasst receiver is smaller, but not micro.

M11X I have yet to put a lipo in it but even with 6 cell pack it is light and has a great feel.Plus you could do everything except change your tv channels.
