Charging a Lipo with my Charger

Charging a Lipo with my Charger
OK , I have a Venom Pro Charger. Granted before i even plug any battery in it im trying to figure out a couple of things.
In the manual it is showing the max charge amps for Lipos is 5 amps. So do i charge a 5500 mah at 5 amps? and if there is such a thing as a 6000MAh Lipo how do i charge that on my charger?
Does this charger also have peak detection? as in i have a 2400 mah stick pack. i should charge it at 2.4 amps will this charger cut off when its peaked?
any help to this Noob would help and be greatly appreciated.

The max charge rate is 5amps - you'd charge a 6000mah lipo at 5amps, it just takes longer to charge. There are 6000 and bigger ones than that. For any lipo above 5000mah you'll have to charge at 5 amps. I won't hurt anything, just takes longer.
It has peak detection, when in NiMh mode or prehaps in user setup, you should be able to set the peak sensitivity. It should quit when it detects peak based on the peak setting, There is prob a safety timer you could look for and set so just in case it doesn't shut off, the safety timer will cut it off. The 2400mah NiMh pac - 2.4amps is good, 3amps is ok too.
