Default Losi Excelorin ESC Problem

So I'm getting everything together to get my 1/12 running, and I move on to the electronics, hook up everything, turn on the radio, all that stuff, and There is a blue light on the ESC, and when I give it throttle, the motor spins for about 1/4 second. Following that there is a hi-pitch sound coming from the ESC, and no throttle. But I do have steering.

I highly doubt its the motor coging considering it's the same motor I ran at the Nationals, so I'm not sure what it could be. Chances are it's something simple, But I'm just clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm running without the Capacitor, If that has anything that plays into effect.

Other info:

SMC IB 4200
Losi 17.5
Airtronics system
DB12rr

Silly question, have you reset the ESC to the radio?

Mark506 you can find the manual at the link: http://www.losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/LOSB9500.pdf

I would suggest updating to the current version, and if you are at the current version reload.

Are any LED's on? If so which ones?

Software link here: http://www.losi.com/Support/XcelorinDownloads.aspx

You may find it best to call product support. Hope this helps

Ok, it's calibrated to the radio and stuff, and all the default settings are put on, and still when I turn it on, nothing but a little throttle, and then the gas dies down to nothing. Now I've been trying to figure this out for about 4 days now, and no progress, and customer service sure didn't help.

I had to set the throttle about 5 times before it would work correctly. First nothing, then very slow motor about three times, then fine.

Hold down the button, turn on the ESC, let go of the button when it turns yellow, hold down full throttle until green i beleive, hold down full brake until red i think, then neutral.

Don't quote me on the light colors, I only used it once.

Try it several times.
