Default Duratrax 230 default current problem

I've got a onyx 230, and regardless of what I set it to to begin with, it goes to 3.6A. I just caught it running 3.6A to my 900maH chopper battery!!
Anyone else have this issue with an onyx??

If I stop the charge, and re-pick the battery, then the current is right. WTF

I've not had any issues with my 230. its works great, and charges at the settings I say. Nothing more nothing less. You sure you're not setting it to something it shouldn't be?

If you're not, then your charger has a prob and you need to call DTX about it or the lhs if you bought it local.

I've started double checking it, and it only seems to happen if I switch from my bigger buggy batteries to my 900mah chopper 3s stuff. I'm now just selecting the 3s battery twice and that keeps the current set right.
I bought this charger used, so I'm sure its out of warranty. Maybe this is why it was so cheap

Otherwise it seems to be a great charger; I just have to watch it when charging the small stuff
