Default New JR servos

Just saw the new JR servos that use 7.4 volts. My question is I think I read somewhere that the Spektrum Rx already will operate at that voltage without a regulator but not sure. Tell me what you think....

I was going to use a lipo rx pack and talked with JR support about using a regulator or not on a 9100t servo. They said absolutely not. Spektrum receivers will handle up to 9.6 volts. Now that JR came out with their new servos there is no need for a regulator.
