Default ESC wiring

I am having troubles getting my SP ESC working with a SP 17.5.

My question is that when you have wired it up and test it with a voltmeter to check the curcuit -

1 - when I put one end of the voltmeter(ESC end) on any of the Blue, Orange or Yellow wire and place it on the motor end on any of the Blue, Yellow or orange it makes a curcuit. Is this right???

I have had the motor work but very very slowly??

I have checked the wires and solder and they are not over lapping to another terminal.

Is this right or not??

Thanks.

Well, sorta of, but not really. The voltmeter is high resistance, very little power gets through. I think you should be able to see a voltage across any 2 of the 3 wires with it hooked up.

Is the slow motor with the described meter hook up, or when connected normally? Does the throttle/brake seem to work at all? Steering OK?

Easy stuff, reset the esc? The radio servo direction might need reversed before resetting. Try without the sensor wire. Make sure the esc rx servo plug is in correctly, this comes up frequently. Your only brushless motor to try?

Good Luck

Not sure what you're asking here but;
Did you set up the radio's end points, trims, etc.
Did you calibrate your esc to work with your Tx input?
Are you trying to run it in the model or can the motor spin freely?

Have reset the ESC and set the end points.

The motor runs some times and then not most times. I have been able to get it going but very slowly. It is brand new. Oiled the ends and wired it up.

I haven't another brushless motor to try.

Most times I have th hand turn the motor while under acceleration and only sometimes does it run?

You've reset the esc but have you calibrated it to work with your Tx input?

Isn't Shawn Palmer a member here?

Re-post your question here;

Palmer or one of the other schumacher guys can probably help you sort it out.
Good luck
