Thumbs up

Having owned a DX3R myself, I'm sure this DX3S is more than just a Sport Radio. I wonder if the ergonomics are close and/or identical to the DX3R. This is quite a TOOL..

Advantage, SPEKTRUM..

This looks like an upgrade from the dx3r. I know it isnt but for $250 you get 2 receivers, telemetry, and pretty much all the mian features of the sx3r for $70 cheaper!

It doesnt have the DSM2 and only 10 model memory vs 30 but for the most of us i think it is a better choice then the DX3R.

I was about to buy a DX3R and the owner of our LHS mentioned this radio, so I decided to do some research before I buy. What I would like to know is if this radio is at least as fast as the Pro Series (SM1001, non-HRS etc.)? Everything else looks good, but I just want to make sure I'm not downgrading too much since I'm going from a 3PKS.

The DX3S will be faster than the Pro Series Module but of course not as fast as the DX3R DSM2 system.

I am actually thinking of selling my DX3R to get one of these. It has all of the features I need and the telemetry is the extra feature I want. I'd love to have real time data on my motor temps while practicing .

This is exactly what Spektrum e-mailed me, this morning. RCGaryK, do you work there? They also told me that it is expected around late November.

PitNamedGordie, maybe I can buy your DX3R? I'm thinking of getting the DX3R instead because I don't want to wait that long.

Unbelievable! I wish I would have waited to buy the 3R... I would've definitely bought this radio instead. Telemetry, extra receiver and it's cheaper! No brainer! Damn.

I am thinking the same thing. I like my dx3r but would like the telemetry for my e-revo. Plus my 3r is one of the original ones with the binding issue that I never sent in because I dont want to go with out a transmitter for weekly racing.

The price and the extra receiver just make it to good to pass up. Only real down side for me is I already have 3 sr3100 receivers that wont work with the 3s transmitter.

My DX3R may be for sale in late November.

I am going to the iHobby Expo this weekend. I hope to get a closer look at the DX3S.
