Thanks Gary I will try to get it working I will let you know how it goes.As far as the batt issue must of had a bad cell put just 4 non rechargable in and its 6.5 volts.1.5 each.I have the wall charger your talking about its good.Any idea whats the best rechargable batterys to get.Or stick with the non?

fastpete you should get a nitro lipo batt pack and put a voltage regulator on it and charg it every 3-4 race days depending on how many cars you run! thats what i did i ussed my nitro lipo pack and regulator from when i did a E LST2 and havent had to charge but every month and i run 3 classes and practice i try to charge every 10-15 hrs of the transmitter being on it is an easy way to do it it is about $50 but well worth it plus it saves weight!

Hi Gary,Just want let you know im happy now.Got the RPM working great.I found out theres a greed light on the reciever,might want to put this in the instructions.I just moved the gap tighter till the green light came on.And turned the engine over with the roto start no glow plug and got a steady 1440.Then turned it over by hand and made sure the light only went off once when the black pass the sensor.So all good I hope this helps someone out.

Why do people say that this controller is not good for racing, is it because the response time of 11 seconds not as fast as the dx3r 5 second response time?

It's not that the DX3S is bad for racing. It's just that for those looking for the most responsive radio the DX3R is superior.

ok, i just wanted to know. i just puck up the dx3s today and i plan on racing with it, it just looked like every one was saying that it was not good.

plain and simple if u are not going to be the next adam drake or mike trauhe a pro driver the dx3s is a good radio to club race

Has anyone bound the S to the old SR3000 receivers? I couldnt find any info about this in the manual...Im not even sure if I use the bind plug...

Yes, the DX3S can be used with the SR3001, SR3000, SR3500, SR300, SR3300T and the Losi MRX-3000 receiver with DSM technology. With the SR3000 and SR3001 you don't use a bind plug, just the built-in bind button.

hai RCGaryK ur the guy that on youtube promote DX3S rite ? wow glad to know u are here OUR Spektrum DOctor !~~ LOLZ ... i already send a message to horizonrc.. waitting for reply.. anyway i will copypaste here again... let u c ... i belive that u will know MOre than everyone have spektrum because at my LHS they can't help me ...

i already have no idea what shall i do now... my Local hobbyshop can't help also already they totally can't slove my problem...
ok let get this straight forward..
i get my DX3S last year shall be around november or december..
So i open the box just like the way i follow the instruction book.. the SR330 Work Perfectly without a problem.. only the SR3300T have problem for the fail safe..

ok i will explaint one by one ...

After i finish blind the fails safe position everything works fine ..
So i make a test on it... when the RX power was on so i switch off the Radio power
it will keep brake for Few Sec.. after that it goes back full Throttle !!! (note because when i off my radio i was gave it full throttle for test it will goes back to brake position or not..) really very weird happen...
i keep redo again and thing also happen the same to me...
My main problem with the SR3300T is
It will load back to the last step when the signal is lost..
so after that i take another DX3R for testing to blind the SR3300T it work fine !!! the fails safe toos !!!
HELPPPPPPPPPPPP what shall i do ??!?!?!? my local hobbyshop can't slove my problem already...
donno is my Radio problem or my RX problem...
i really have no idea o..

here is summery i make

SR3300T issue ~

• I use SR330 without telemetry RX that come with DX3S it work perfectly

Have you tried reversing the throttle throw before binding and resetting the ESC? I don't have my DX3S with me this weekend. I've just got my 3R so I'll have to go ahead and test this on Monday, but the throttle reverse "might" do it. Just a hunch.

do u mean i try to set up throttle reversing ? yeap i did try ~~ but it still same problem happen was thinking putting a fails safe there but still can't works...
now i have my savage with me ~~ are there anyother thingy that i need to do it ?
