And the little antenna what should I do with that on a SavageX 4.6? Just put it in a tube under the body?

Thanks for your help

Pete

yes any except the ones for the sensors.

2. yes any port besides the telemitry ports.

3. I cut my tube and it just sits under the body. doesnt effect range at all. They say with these the radio will go farther then you can see the car go.

Experts....I am a Newbie. Just a quick question. I have 2 cars- 1 GP Nitro and 1 EP. The 2 RXs that comes with the spektrum, i can put one for GP car and another for EP car? And use Spektrum as my only TX. Is that possible?
Is that what the additional RX for?

Ok hooked it all up,all ok except my throttle brake servo when you apply the throtte slow it opens fine, but if you go from closed to wide oped fast it sits there and shutters about 3/4 open.Any ideas now its a stock savage servo and was fine with the stock radio?

I have a Hi-tech steering and that works fine.

One other problem no RPM.I have a shiny flywheel so installed a black dot.Had to modify the braket and got just under a 1/8 inch clear like they say.It said 480 for a split second now 0 all the time.Do I need to tighten up the gap?

Thanks for all the help.

Hey everyone. I know a lot of people have been asking how to monitor your main battery pack voltage with your DX3S. I have just finished an article and video that covers just that. Check the link below for more information

You can use the same radio for both receivers. The radio will also work with up to 8 more recievers.

4.4v at full charge is way low to begin with. I use Spektrum's 1500mAh NiMH AA 4 Pack (SPM9525) and after a full charge they read 5.5v. I'll leave my DX3R turned on here at my desk and see where they are after an hour but to me it sounds like you might have a bad cell.

50-minutes later...

Current voltage: 5.2v

I've found when setting up the RPM sensor there's some trial and error there. You'll need to play around with the pickup location to get it working properly. Instead of the dots you may want to try the "stripes", if that makes sense.

i would think the dots give me area for the rpm sensor to pick up then the strip would since its smaller but i still cant get mine to work but im fine with it i really like the temp sensor it works great and it is about 1 degree off but that's perfect!

also any one find out what charger can we can use to hook up directly to the tx so it can charge rechargeable batteries?
