Default airtronics m8 3rd channel? How?

Ok,so ive searched for about the last hour and with no luck I am writing this how to....Ok so Ive got a e-maxx and want to activate the 2 speed with my radio...How in the world do I acess this function...This is the older silver button model if that matters..

The 3rd channel is controlled by the roller dial to the left of the steering wheel.

Not sure I understand what you mean by setting it up. You plug a servo into the 3rd channel on the receiver and then you control it by turning that knob. It doesn't work like an on/off switch though. Picture it as if it is like the steering wheel as that's how it behaves. I have it set up on my Revo to control forward/reverse. I have turn it all the way right or left.
