Advice on Novak SS to XBR Upgrade
I've got an old 5800ss brushless system that has a esc that is acting up.
novak is offering to sell me an xbr for 75 bux to replace the SS speedo. The xbr has lipo cutoff and I could use it as a backup and basher esc. What would you guys do?
btw this is for a tc and I already have a gtb w/lipo and a 13.5 that i use for racing.

The XBR is much better than the old SS speedo. If it's between the two, go for it. I believe the XRB has a 8.5T limit, so if you plan on getting a hotter motor, you'll need a more capable ESC.
