Default Hyperion 606i won't charge

I have a 2 cell 6000 amps MaxAmps lipo pack I've used about 5 times w/ a sidewinder ESC. Last time I ran it, it still had full power when I stopped and it's been sitting unplugged for the last few weeks. Just tried to plug in the charger and it says "Check the batt. low voltage" and won't charge.

Any ideas on what I can do to get my Hyperion to charge my battery?

Thanks.

Check the voltage on the batt - if its below 3v/cell, charger won't charge it as a safety precaution - it thinks its seeing an overdischarged lipo. If it was close to 6v when you finished running, they can lose some voltage just sitting.

Try charging it as NiMh at 1a until you have the voltage up over 6v. Then stop, change back to lipo and it should charge. If this works, make sure you watch it - it may have been damaged due to going below 6v. This is one reason I have my lvc set at 3.2v/cell - little safety margin.

Thanks for the help Duster. It was < 3 volts per cell and after I charged in NiMH mode, it started working in LiPo mode. Thanks again.

Thats great!! Glad you saved your lipo.

If your lvc is adjustable, may want to tweak it a touch higher to provide safety margin. I have mine set between 6.2-6.4. And in case no one's ever mentioned it, don't leave any lipo plugged in. Thats a common way they get overdischarged.
