Default Spektrum DX2 "not working"

I just bought a used DX2 from a local hobby shop, and it worked when I bought it... I wanted to check out the battery holder (removable 8 AA battery holder) so I took it out, and when I put it back in it didn't work... NO LED, nothing...

Any idea's? It seems the battery holder only goes in 1 way, so I'm not sure what I might be missing...

Make sure that all the batteries are correctly placed in the holder. Also make sure both metal tabs in the radio are touching the metal tabs on the battery pack.

Batteries are in the correct way, and the battery holder is in the correct way also... The metal tabs are touching properly...

Sure sounds like it might be a battery connection issue. Check the holder, make sure all of the connecting wires between the springs and tabs are in place. Can you measure voltage across the pack terminals? Spin the batteries to make sure they are not hung up and preventing the springs from pushing them together and against the tab, I've had that happen. And be absolutely sure the radio tabs are pushing against the pack terminals and in the right way. I know it's not the same radio, but I can put my DX3.0 in backwards, tabs out instead of in.

Thanks for the reply. The tab that should of been inside the holder touching one of the batteries wasn't there... So I ran a piece of metal and now it works mint!

On a side issue, I now connected the receiver to my buggy and now my steering servo isn't functioning with the DX2. The battery and throttle connections are working properly. I did the binding correct (even though they were previously sync'd anyways) and still nothing. What am I missing? It works fine with my AM receiver...

Sorry, I am a R/C noob!

On the plus side, when I used my AM transmitter with my buggy today, it performed wayy better than expected. I love my new Fantom FR21!
