Hi,
Thinking of switching to Li-Po and just wanted to know what balancing Li-Po chargers are out there.
Thanks, Nate

I like the search button best, there is tons of information available about which is the best and what not to use.
Something to consider is the charger/balancer that your LiPo manufacturer suggests. Some manufacturers like Max-Amps suggests the Hyperion or Thunder Power range of chargers and Trakpower say to use their balancer. Most manufacturers of lipo's will offer a better warranty service if you use their recommended charger/balancer.

I'm a big fan of the Bantam BC series chargers. I've got a BC-6 and love it. Built in balancer. One of the guys at the race Sunday here in SD became a fan of balancers. He had a puffy cell, so we hooked it up tot he BC6. 1 cell was at 3.8 volts and the other was at 4.4. This was a 2S 2200 pack in his RC18R. On paper, his non balancing lipo charger was showing 8.2v, and I'm guessing if it did get to 8.4 volts, the one cell would've been 4.5 and the low cell would've been 3.9. Anything over 4.2 volts on a lipo cell is not good and dangerous. He's getting a blinky for now, but it showed how important balancing during charging is. Another complaint he had was how many lipo cells he'd gone through, now he knows.
My .02 the Bantams, then the Hyperions. Get the balance adapter too.

I just got the cellpro 10s charger and that thing is amazing!

It can charge my A123 5s pack (2300 mah) in just under 17 minutes. It charges my trakpowers (2s 4900 mah) in just 30 minutes. Also very easy to use and it can do two batteries at once. The price is not that bad for what you get. They seem to be flying off the shelf too at FMA. Had to wait about a month after I ordered mine but totally worth the wait!
