Default Airtronics Caliber 3Ps Anyone still have one?

I just purchased a Airtronics Caliber 3Ps. I don't know much about it, so if anyone still has one or has had one please throw in some input. I think 6 or 8 years ago it was close to top of the line. Any comments would be really apprecaited. Thanks

I was using mine until one of the springs broke. Good controllers. I have two of them, but now I use a JR R-1 with the Spektrum module.

I might be buying one through this forum. I can't find any information about it though... Anyone have specs on this controller?

I'm not sure. I like them a lot and I won't be selling them just yet.

I am assuming it is 3 channel

-Throttle and Steering trims: analog or digital?

-Can you adjust the throttle curves?

-Where is the 3rd channel switch?

-I am pretty sure, but it takes 8AAs right?

-Any other features that should be noted about the controller.

Thanks a bunch, no need to scan or copy the manual, these are just the things I am wondering.

Tough ?'s Mooshu I'll try to answer since I just got this Saturday. I believe you can adjust the T and S trims both ways since there is that function on the digital display and there is knobs also. The manual says it has ARC(ajustable rate control) for the throttle and steering. Yes it takes 8 AA batteries. I think a cool feature it has is a switch that lets you adjust the settings w/o the power on. I'll be glad to try and answer any other questions you have. I didn't see the 3rd channel switch but I'll research the manual a little more and let you know. Thanks.

My favorite radio ever. The third channel is a dial on the front of the radio. They usually come with a flat plastic battery holder that holds 8 AA's, but there are rechargeable options for it.

The 3Ps was replaced by the M8. I also used an M8 and the 3Ps has about the same features. You might even be abale to use the Spektrum module as you can use the M8 FM module on the 3Ps.

lutach that is exactly what I want to know. Now I just have to figure out if any one has the answer. Send your 3Ps back to airtronics and the should be able to fix it. The guy I got mine from sent this one back last year and they charged him $52 to replace the throttle and steering pots and calibrate it. Thanks.

The Caliber was my favorite radio ever. I've never found anything before or since that felt better in my hands.

The only reason I'm using an M8 now is because unfortunately the Spektrum modules will NOT fit the Caliber radios. The Caliber used a different module design than the later M8 and M11. If there were a 2.4ghz option for the Caliber I'd still be using it.

It's a bummer you can't use spektrum with this radio I really like it. That said I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM WITH IT. I went racing yesterday and every heat I would hook up my battery and turn on the trans then the reciever and my truck would glitch erratically for 30 seconds to 1 min and then be absolutely fine the whole heat. I haven't got to switch crystals yet or use a different radio yet, but some suggestions would be great THANKS!!!!

That is strange. I used the a module made for the M8 in one of my 3Ps. I'll double check later to see if indeed the module was from a M8.
