And it uses the standard foam.

I had to open up my radio for something & impropery installed my spring to make the trigger pull stiffer. It wasnt a big help, could barely be felt & the tab the spring clips onto is really fragile. I dont think there is a good way to stiffen the trigger without breaking the mount tab.

When I was in there I also fixed my wobbly steering wheel. The tab where the shaft sits had some plastic flashing under it & would not let the shaft all the way down in its seat.

I will warn you its not a easy thing getting the radio apart the first time. the glued on screen cover/protector & the other badge must come off, they hold the unit together as much as the screws do & you cant actually get the radio apart fully like you think it would split due to how its molded & how the harness is in there. If the wheel wobble dont bother you that much just leave it.

for you guys with the spektrum transmitter case, is it strong enough to stand on?
being a short guy i was recommended to stand on my transmitter case while on the driver stand. well since i don't have one, i'd like to get a case to stand on.

It is an alum case. I would assume it would be fine as long as you were not stepping on the middle of it but not certain. I would get one of those folding stands like was shown above. Cheap and work great.

I noticed the same thing, but I got used to it. You could just stretch and heat the spring.

Cheapest rx is 50 from amain. For that much I would go with the Dx2.0 for 130 new. It has more features and 2 model memory. DX2s has 5 model memory.
