I'll be looking for either a 4wd sct or e-buggy.... Unless I hear short course isn't run.
SCT seems to be slowly falling to the wayside. We almost always have plenty SCT's to race, but your best bet is to buy an ebuggy. That is typically by far the largest, most competitive class at all tracks in the area.

The Track Layout was Awesome Loved the step-up jump... Wagon-Wheel turn & small triple jumps where tricky for me...But it was an awesome challenging layout to race on Enjoyed it... Had to Leave after Main's started I Stepped into a Nasty Rut / Hole in the Stone area of the Parking Lot & Bucked my left ankle pretty bad... So I just packed up my stuff & left I was race 19 Novice E-Buggy So I had to be a scratch for that one...I wanted to get home & Ice - Meds for my Ankle...See you guys @ the Hut "I HOPE" for RND #2

Save money and get a Hobbywing 1800kv setup. When you outgrow it then get a SMC or Tekin 1900

I run Tekin Gen-2 Systems in all my Rides but that's just my preference Teken Systems are pricey $$$... But Hobbywing has decent system's & some of the 1/8 buggy guys are running them & from what I hear they like them & have not experienced any problems... KV Motor size is basically up to YOU.... I run a 1900KV motor in my buggy but most guys are running between 1700-2000 KV's....

Agreed. I started racing last year with a Hobbywing ESC and 2200kv motor, this year I stepped up to the Tekin Gen2 with a 2050kv motor. Both are awesome but, if you're just starting out/testing the waters, save the cash and go Hobbywing, you won't be disappointed.

I would put my AE RTR ESC back in my car before I put a Tekin in it. Although I am running Tekin motors and they seem ok so far.

Run Tekin motors. Buy your competition Gen II Tekin ESC's.

Hobbywing esc and HW motor or the SMC motor and be done !

0 problems with them .

I run a 2100kv Trackstar (Red can) sensored motor with the punch down and a little negative expo on my buggy.
