Practice was awesome today. Most of the blown out areas have been repaired and Jim said that the track will be pristine for the next race, Kyosho Battle of the Bowl. They are also going to be adding some clay in the areas that have been getting blown out to keep that from happening so much. This track is going to be amazing once it's #Dialed

Well it looks like I'm out for this weekends race. I've struck out to find someone to take care of my dog.
Try to make it next week for club racing.

Default A new outlook & apology

I posted this on Facebook but, wanted to share it here as well....

A new outlook on our hobby.... This may be a long one....

I posted on my profile the picture below of the Railyard or what was the Railyard. While I stood there where the track used to be, it hit me. I don't race because the entry fee is a certain amount or because there will be awards and prizes. I race for the fun, excitement, camaraderie, friendship and memories.

The saddest part of all the bitching and whining many of us do (me included) is that it does directly affect the very track/business we love to go to. Not to mention, the kids that are or would potentially be involved in this great hobby.

I don't know about you but, my complaining days are done. I don't want to see another track suffer and we lose yet another place to race, have fun and make friends. To that, I want to publicly apologize to James Cook, Tyler Cook and everyone at Mushroom Bowl Hobbies and R/C Raceway for the things I said about the last race there.

Also, I want to say thanks to a few guys that I really look up to in this hobby for their dedication and support of it. Gabriel Galeano, Andrew Quesenberry, Bob Barry and Steve Graham have all been amazing role models on and off the track. I'm sure there are more of you out there.

So what do you say? Let's cut the bullcrap and have some fun racing! See you at the next one!
