PIT LANE QUESTION
I have a question about pit lane, refers mainly to nitro cars.
It is hard to tell exactly 100% from the picture, but can you make up time by rolling into and out of pit lane? If the answer is yes, that might be something that will have to be monitored.

Good call. In the current config, yes... the pit lane bypasses the first hairpin.

Pit lane does avoid the first hairpin. But can you make it in and out before the car on power going to hairpin? NO you cannot make up time. We have tried it to see with electric cars. It cant be done faster than the race line. Unless you are the best pit road racer in the nation. There will be a discussion in the drivers meeting about intentional pit road short cuts. But again it wont make up time.

Hotel, food and the Oceanfront are all a short drive away. Link above is pretty good but here is another.

Well, the track surface is getting smoother. We have put about 4 hrs of dragging tires on it. It is noticeably smoother. I wanted to get about another 4 hrs but the quad we were dragging the tires with crapped out on us. So, hopefully with the rain we are suppose to get tonight into tomorrow will wash a lot of the rubber away. Blowing the track and spraying it on Saturday morning should give us some better tire wear throughout the day.
SPEC TIREs: DRCW is trying to go with Solaris 35's for the spec tire. At the moment it will depend on if Solaris has enough in stock to supply us. For the August race it will probably be the spec tire.....Fingers crossed...?
If not Solaris it will probably be Sweep 36's.
