The buggies are ok for bashing,but the quality of parts used is not up to par for racing. Check the Large Scale Forums. You can upgrade them but by that time you will be in the same price range as the 5t. The 5T is also more stable for racing, hence the wider width. If you really want a buggy, send OC BAJA a PM on RC Largescale. He makes a kit that uses the stock roll cage and the 5t drive train.

Unless it becomes an issues than it will be decided among the attending drivers, I am planing on 7 minutes to 10 minutes qualifiers, and 25 to 30 minutes A mains. I hope that gives you an idea of the program after all this Opening day and a trophy race. Thanks for the question.
