Just a reminder, next month is the race. Talked to a few guys from MD (Coliseum) and they said they will be heading down. I'll find out more info this weekend on race fee's and classes. So I'll keep ya posted.

Hey Jimmy! What tires are working at the track now? 27's? 32's? I have yet to run on "yall's" track, so i would like to come somewhat prepared.

- DaveW

BTW: What is the cost for the warmup race?

If the weather is like it should be, then cs32, or rp36. MAYBE (extreme hot weather) rp40's. We have had some blistering days so far, but you never know what sept 17 brings. But cs32's would be the overall safest best if you only wanted one kind.

I hate to be the one to stir the pot( Yeah right) But if this is being advertised as a "nats Warm-up" Why are we not running spec CS-27's??? Isn't that the spec tire for the Nats?

Why are we even discussing 32,36, 40's and even RP tires? Whn you get to Fla. you want have those options...

I thought the same thing. Glenn mentioned that we haven't used 27's all year and that he didn't want the guys to have to "go out and buy new tires for one race", but when I thought about it, nobody has been using pre glue anyway, it's all custom glue, so any preglues will have to be bought.

I guess it's up to JMac really, we all know he's the only one that has any pull with Glenn and the promoting of races. Bottom line is, I'll run whatever just need to know now .

Good point. If it is to be considered a warmup race, then the tires "should" be the preglued CS27's. Im all for a controlled tire race! I couldnt be at the Coliseum this past weekend, so I look forward to being in NC and runnin with youse guys.

Okay, I'll bring it up with Glenn. He's closed tomorrow. So I'll try my best to get up with him Thursday and talk it over with him. I guess the sooner the better so people can prepare and get some CS27's (if that is truely the spec tire for the Nats).

Any other comments on this? Yes? No? Don't care?? hehe..

Anyways, for club racing.. it's been Sorex 36's for me. I'm sure 40's would be nice too with all this 90+ heat we've been having. Track temp 140+.

Hope to catch yall soon.

Just bring yourself. There are indoor pits with tables/chairs and electric. Pit indoor, race outdoor.

I wouldn't mind coming on the 16th, but we bought concert tickets a while back and the show is that Friday night. I will be there on the third to get my cs27 practice. By the looks of it, that is what everybody wants. The way I see it, it already looks a a "gentlemens agreement" type thing shaping up.
