Could that be done with a pit lane also?

I didn't include the pit lane, but there's plenty of room for it in that layout.

I believe you're shrinking our lanes by 6FT! If, anything, we need to stretch them a couple more feet. We plan on running a 1/8 scale & 1/5 scale program successfully.

ROAR minimum lane width for both 1/8 and 1/5 onroad is 12ft (I checked)... so it is actually 2ft wider than the minimum. IFMAR's minimum for 1/8th is 15ft.

If you think that 20ft is not big enough and believe stretching the lanes to 22 or 24ft, you're just about doubling ROAR's minimum and significantly higher than IFMAR's minimum.

We can stretch the lanes to 15ft without an issue, but if you believe running either class on 25ft lanes is good racing, I would have to disagree... you may as well run your cars on I-95.

Hey guys, let's not start spinning our wheels about the layout and lane width just yet. There will be some minor tweaks and changes coming but we're going to stay a bit conservative and G-Force Hobbies will lock-in all changes before they happen. Our primary focus is to correct all of the existing issues and ensure the program runs smoothly.

Stay happen, stay tuned in - and we'll all enjoy this racing season!

i like it personally! but for the 5th scales, the last section with the big 180s may be tough for them to manage. if you change just that portion, it will still be technical enough for the smaller cars. just my 2 cents

The 1/5 scales are barely getting around with lanes we currently have. Making them 6ft narrower is not the direction to go. We will not be able to accommodate them comfortably, and the 1/8 scale cars will suffer, too. Nice layout but way too tight, Ray. We don't need any more carpet layouts on an outdoor track in the tri-state area. Modify it to work with the current lane width and it can work.

I think that it will work for 1/5 scale. As previously said, 12" is the minimum. It will be like Monaco in Delaware. ...

If, you think a track with 12 - 14 ft. lanes is good for nitro on-road car, then you don't race nitro cars. The minimum means the cars wouldn't be able to get around the track at all, if, you made it any smaller. Com'mon guys, use better judgement than this. These cars are typically doing anywhere from 30 - 70 mph at various points on the track, side by side at times. Do you really think that is enough space to run more than one driving line and or be able to pass someone cleanly??? You can't be serious. Smh

Truth be told, the driver's stand really needs to be another 4 ft. Higher for better depth perception. Making the track MORE narrow will make your ability to judge distances between the barriers that much harder. Stop smoking whatever it is you on. Drugs are bad, guys.

I don't recall myself, John, or anyone from G-Force Hobbies making the statement that the track is going to be made narrower.

Chill guys.

Really.
