Thumbs up The Track - Gaithersburg, MD

THE TRACK
Home of the 2001 ROAR On-Road Carpet Nationals
16806 Oakmont Avenue
Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877
(301) 417 - 9630

Welcome to "THE TRACK" radio control (R/C) and slot car raceway. THE TRACK is one of the East Coast's oldest indoor R/C racing facilities since 1992...

Here's a new thread for discussion regarding The Track...

Are you tired of the heat? Did your race get rained out? Do you have no where to race? Well, maybe you should be practicing indoor for the summer ... Wednesday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday seem to be the days to hang out to race or practice. See you there...

Unhappy Bad News...

I stopped by Mimi's today and she had some bad news to share. I don't know if any of you know Chris Hiser, but he passed away last week. He used to race at The Track a few years ago and mainly raced touring. My prayers go out to him and his family.

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I went carpet racing, and I have a jrxs now, anyone have a good setup to start with for that car? It has been also a few years since I have been down to the track, is it in still good shape? Thanks for any info you guys might have.

I know Andrew Gray runs the JRXS and so does Craig Xavier, but I have not idea as to setup for it. I'm sure either of them would be willing to help you if you asked for help.

The track looks to be in pretty good shape. I have a feeling new carpet will be laid down if The Track gets the bid for the 2006 on-road carpet nats.
