Golden State On-road 1/10th Scale Electric Championship Race
June 29th and 30th, 2013
Race T-shirts, Trophies and Prizes
Location/Info: Camarillo CA, Freedom Park. Please bring your own table, chair and Easy up. There are a few picnic tables for pit use, however they will fill up fast. Pre-registration ends on 06-22-2013. Pre-registration guarantees
you will get the shirt size you request, one shirt per racer. Personnel transponders are preferred but not necessary. A free set of tires will be given to Novice TC and Intermediate TC entries. Spec tires for mini Cooper class. Sportsman, Expert, and Open TC will be open tire. Practice open at 11am on Friday June 28th for those with paid registration.
Sign ups from 6:30 AM until 8:30 AM – Saturday Only ( You must qualify on Saturday to race on Sunday )
Schedule: Saturday 6/29/2013 Sunday 6/30/2013
6:30 AM to 7:30 AM Open Practice 7:30 AM to 8:30AM Open Practice
7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Controlled Practice 8:30AM to TBA Controlled Practice
8:45 AM to 8:55 AM Drivers meeting (All drivers required) Driver’s Meeting
9:00 AM Sharp 1st Race Starts Main events – lower Mains first
Racing: Saturday 3 qualifiers with open practice after all qualifiers are done. Sunday morning practice and the Mains with 2 bump up from lower mains.
Trophies: A-mains 1st through 5th in all classes.
Over-night camping: self-contained no hookups to power. $20.00 per night. Please let us know if you need a campsite for the race. NO SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR WITHOUT A PERMIT.

First class is $30.00, additional classes $15.00 each with pre-registration. Novice and Intermediate classes will be given 1 free set of tires sponsored by Roadrunners ( you do not have to use these tires ). Mini cooper will use a spec tire ( 1 set free with entry ) you have to use these tires only. you may purchase 1 additional set at the race for additional cost.

General Rules

NOTE: If you enter Novice Stock Touring Car you MAY NOT enter the 17.5 Intermediate or Sportsman TC, Super Stock 13.5 TC or Open TC

Tech Inspection
The following items may be inspected in tech before each heat and main:
• Weight
• Wheels & Tires
• Body & wing dimensions (TC classes) (ROAR specs)

Motor Tech: Motors may be inspected at any time during the event at the discretion of the Race Officials.
Inspection may include rotor diameter, stator winding (number of turns), and any other parameter deemed necessary. Tear-down and reassembly will be the responsibility of the racer and must be done in the presence of the officials.

ESC Inspection – NO TIMING Classes
• ESC’s may be inspected for no timing mode at the end of each heat. When you finish with your heat drive your car to the pit area and wait for an offical to check your car. Turn your car and transmitter off and go out to turn marshal, leaving your car in impound area.
Handout Tires
Racers in a handout tire class only, will be permitted to purchase the following:
• up to two (2) sets of non-teched practice tires any time during the weekend, starting on Friday. $20.00 per set
• up to two (2) sets of teched race tires. $20.00 per set
• One (1) additional set of race tires if you make the “A” Main. $20.00 per set
There are exceptions for the Novice and Intermediate classes, which receive some free tires (see below).

Novice and Intermediate TC Classes
The Roadrunners RC Club are sponsoring these classes. Each driver will receive one free set of tires from the Roadrunners RC Club. Your FREE set of tires you do not have to run, they are a gift to you. If you don’t run these tires you’ll have to supply your own tires.

Sportsman 17.5 TC, Expert 17.5 TC, Super Stock 13.5 TC – Sportsman/Expert and Open TC Classes
Drivers make sure you enter in the class you belong in, no sand bagging.
Drivers for these classes will supply their own tires for each class.



Mini Cooper Class
The Roadrunners RC Club is sponsoring this class. Each Mini Cooper driver will receive one free set of tires.
Each Mini driver will also have the option of buying a second set for $20 while supplies last. The first set of tires will be handed out on the first day of qualifying. Both sets will be marked for tech, these will be the only tires allowed for qualifying and all mains.


Classes
Novice, Intermediate, Sportsman, Expert Stock TC – No timing
• 17.5BL/27T motor
• Zero-timing ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1380g minimum weight
• Tires, any tire and any rim (driver supplies)

Super Stock 13.5, Sportsman, Expert TC – No timing
• 13.5BL motor
• Zero-timing ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1380g minimum weight
• Tires, any tire and any rim (driver supplies)
Open TC
• Any brushed or brushless 1/10 scale electric motor
• Open ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1380g minimum weight
• Tires, any tire and any rim (driver supplies)

RCGT Stock 17.5 – Sportsman and Expert
• 4WD or 2WD touring car chassis
• 17.5BL motor
• Zero-timing ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1380g minimum weight
• Any tire on a spoked rim. Driver must supply his own tires
• Realistic 190mm or 200mm bodies. NO race-specific (Stratus, Mazdaspeed 6, LTC-R, etc.)
• Realistic plastic wings encouraged; Lexan wings OK trimmed to a realistic height (~15mm).


F1 Rubber - Realistic
• Any 1/10 scale 2WD direct drive purpose-built F1 chassis (F103, F104, F109, etc.)
• 21.5BL/540J Silver Can motor
• Zero-timing ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• Rubber tires (F1-specific rubber tires only, bring your own)
• Realistic F1 bodies and wings with driver figure and head


Mini Cooper (Tamiya M Chassis Only)
• Tamiya M03, M05, M06 front or rear wheel drive chassis cars ONLY
• HAND OUT 540J silver can motors (must be returned after race)
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1250g minimum weight
• Spec tires, one (1) FREE set

1/10th Scale Pan Car
• Any 1/10 scale pan car chassis and body
• 10.5 BL motor
• Open ESC
• 1S 3.7V lipo Hard case
• Foam tires (bring your own)

Super Nastruck
• 4WD or 2WD touring car chassis
• 17.5BL motor
• Zero-timing ESC
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• 1380g minimum weight
• Any tire , any rim. Driver must supply his own tires
Realistic 190mm or 200mm Nastruck bodies.

USVTA
• We are using the USVTA rules for this class
• Tires and rims must be on the list from the above rules. Must have 2/3 visible tread on the tires.
• Motor 25.5 BL – must be in the rules above
• ESC – must be in the rules above
• Body – must be in the rules above
• Driver figure – of at least head and shoulders, mounted inside body
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• Minimum weight: 1550g
• Minimum height: 5mm

Outlaw VTA
• We are using the USVTA Body and tire/rims rules for this class
• Driver figure – of at least head and shoulders, mounted inside body
• 21.5 BL (ROAR approved)
• ESC – any non timing or Blinky mode (ROAR approved)
• 2S 7.4V lipo Hard case/6-cell NiMh batteries
• Minimum ride height: 5mm
• Minimum weight: 1550g



EACH CLASS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 ENTRIES TO MAKE IT A LEGAL CLASS.

YOU MUST QUALIFY ON SATURDAY TO BE ABLE TO RACE ON SUNDAY – NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON SUNDAY MORNING.
