*360 RC New Rochelle 50/50 HURRICANE RELIEF DONATION RACE* Sunday, Nov. 18th*
Guys,
We had a trophy race scheduled for this week. With the events that have happened in the last few weeks the last thing on our minds is trophies. I am changing the event to a Charity Donation event for 3 select charities in our areas that got hit the hardest.
Charities:
The Rockaways Hurricane Relief Fund, Queens NY
--https://www.facebook.com/NYCRockawaysSandyRelief
A few members of our 360 family have been affected in this area Vito C. to name one. Vito is one of the main reasons this track exists as he did most of the work to build it, Volunteer work. Vito lost all contents inside his house during the storm and has to start from scratch and rebuild as well.
The Brooklyn Recovery Fund--The Brooklyn Community Foundation
-www.connect.brooklyncommunityfoundation.org/brooklyn-recovery-fund
Another 360 family member hit hard by the storm lives in Brooklyn and would benefit greatly by this charity, Rob Bendall. I believe Rob also lost everything as well as having a very young baby.
last but not least,
Project Hospitality Staten Island Hurricane Relief Fund
-www.projecthospitality.com
Of all the areas hit, I believe the least amount of federal help and assistance from the Red Cross has been given to those hit hard in Staten Island. I am sure there are more members of the 360 family hit hard by the storm in these areas, these are just the ones I know of.
Fees: **Donations included in entry fees**
1st Entry: $30, 2nd Entry $10, 3rd Entry $5
To keep things simple, we will be donating based on your 1st class entry fee ($30) The donations will be a 50/50 split between the track and the racers. $5 dollars per entry from the racer, and $5 dollars per entry from the track, for a total of $10 per entry. We had 57 entries last week. With the possibility of 70+, This is a great opportunity for us to donate to great causes and those in need right now.... Lets make it a BIG day please!!
Thanks guys!!

Unfortunatley I am unable to race at the new 360. Lord knows I want to, I miss carpet racing. Instead I made a donation to each of the 3 charities Donny listed. I hope Vito, Rob, and everyone else affected by Sandy gets through this quickly.
Oh, for the Staten Island charity it's projecthospitality.org
PS Carl, I'm counting on you to keep and eye on these silver can motors!
