Hoping to make it out more this season. Had a blast the few times I was there in 2011.
To 2nd what Donnie posted...Mod is the way to go for SC. These big tracks like Awesome, Tiltyard, G's, LCRC are just too big for stock class vehicles. You have time to check out the scenery while going down the straights at all of these tracks!

Mod eliminates the need to have the latest and greatest.
Example...California racer and AE factory pilot, Steven Hartson chose to use Brushed technology and NiMH batteries for several months after the whole LiPo and Brushless wave became the norm. Steven was still very competitive in the mod classes even being at a so-called"disadvantage" for using old technology.
Mod is mod...Wheel it and win. No need for the special esc's or 1 specific motor. 17.5 boosted is still competitive on smaller indoor tracks in the mod class but can't hold it's own on the bigger tracks. The mod sc class generates at least 15+ every weekend at ECH and at least 20+ at Bumps every weekend. If I remember correctly, Awesome's weekly races had 6-8 at best in the 17.5 blinky class in 2011.

Me and a couple buddies are thinking about coming out there Saturday. Anyone else interested? I will be running e buggy along with SC 4x4 and stock SC. My buddies run 2wd SC and SC 4x4. It would be nice to have a couple others to compare to seeing how the season is about to start.

Short Course stock is blinky mode on the ESC no boost.
The track is open and the track computer is typically plugged in for practice on non race days. This includes weekends and weekdays.
