Sorry to revive a dead thread.. but I'm wondering if any of you guys know about the Intergalactic Short Course Championships being held at CRC in Rome, NY. I know we pull from a lot of the same North East R/C crowd so figured I'd share here.. in case people were still subscribed.

They are working on 2013.. We are a media partner and were alerted they are going to be starting planning soon.

They did update the website:
Motorama 2013 - Save the Date - Feb. 16th & 17th

Can't wait myself.

they haven't said yet, but since it was the fire marshal that shut them down and not the race organizer i'm going to say they are not likely to reverse that for next year

being very honest...I think it worked without it. Spectators filled the stands to watch the races. Imagine that room filled with nitro fumes...no spectators. It was kinda cool to race in front of a crowd like that.

even with no nitro the place was still filled with dust, i race on the 10 scale side and the 1/8th scale side was a dust bowl imagine nitro. your going to kill someone with that combo. besides, motorama is about the fans and then racers the 1/8th scale had a crowd which was awesome.

IMO, electric only worked well last year. Stands were filled up, and yes it was dusty, but it's always dusty at an OFFROAD TRACK. So I'm not complaining.

My issue was the cold, it was f'ing freezing... and I found out from Scotty that they didn't even give him any dirt last year, so anything he had he scraped off the ground.

Let's not harp on the nitro thing. I run nitro, but it really doesn't work indoors. So let's start whining and complaining about something we CAN change, like MORE DIRT FOR SCOTTY and better audio in the pit area

oh the 10th scale side...that clay was awesome! and so was the layout! The only thing i really see that needs improvement is speaker system.thats about it. for crying out loud i cant wait till February!
